No party is complete without a bite to eat, and that also goes for a jubilee street bash or platinum picnic. Heinz ‘Salad Queen’, peppery mustard and fresh chives add a tasty, regal twist to a typical egg sandwich. Tuck in whilst you get the bubbles popping!
Cooking time

Serves

Ingredients
- 2 Respectful eggs
- 2 tablespoons Heinz Salad Cream
- ½ tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cornichons, roughly chopped
- Sea salt and cracked black pepper
- Handful of watercress
- 2 slices white bread
Method
- Firstly, bring a pan of water to a simmer and boil the eggs for 10 minutes. Once cooked, run them under cold water then peel off the shells.
- Finely chop the eggs and mix in the Salad Queen, mustard, cornichons and chives. Season to taste with a good sprinkle of salt and pepper.
- Now it’s time to build your sarnie! Spread the egg mix on a slice of bread, before topping with the watercress and popping the other slice of bread on top.
- Slice and serve! We’re partial to cutting our Sovereign Sarnies into little triangles for that afternoon tea feel. If you’re bringing your sandwich to a jubilee party picnic, why not use a beeswax wrap or Tupperware tub, to cut down on waste when tucking in?
